The pack, its variants, right through to the print file. A range is planned from the very first pot.

Some of the work shown in this section was developed as part of the activity of the agency Grafit (now closed), where I worked as a Graphic designer for twenty years. It carries the mention “© Grafit”.

From the first pot to the whole range

I design packaging for food brands and consumer goods: pots, lids, sleeves, multipacks and cartons. For twenty years, my packs reached the shelves for Danone, Activia, Oikos, Actimel, Danio and Light & Free. Today I work with brands, SMEs and agencies in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

Thinking about the range from the first pack

A pack designed on its own is hard to extend. Before I draw, I set the system: what stays the same from one variant to the next, what changes (the colour, the fruit, a banner), and the room left for the next flavour, the family size, the limited edition or the promotion. When the range is planned from the start, a new variant takes days, not months.

Bilingual French/Dutch from the first sketch

In Belgium, packaging is bilingual. Dutch runs longer and shifts the balance of the layout, so I design with both languages from the start, without waiting for the proof. Mandatory information, allergens, net weight, Nutri-Score and barcode find their place without crowding out the main message.

All the way to the print file

I prepare the print files on your supplier's template, discuss the technical constraints with the printer and check the proof with you: legal text, ingredients in both languages, colours, cutting lines and seals. You have one point of contact, from brief to shelf.

Bring to life your product.

Thirty minutes to look at your brief together. You leave with an outside view, even if we go no further.
